Julie Kostynick started dancing at a very young age and had the opportunity to dance all over the Chicago-land area. She became a pre-professional dancer with Evanston Dance Ensemble at Dance Center Evanston, and at the University of Illinois she majored in dance on scholarship from 2005 to 2006. Julie was invited to dance with Elements Contemporary Ballet Company under the direction of Mike Gosney in 2008.
In 2010, she left Elements and joined Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago’s scholarship program and learned the Giordano technique from Nan Giordano, Lindsey Leduc, and Cesar Salinas. After joining Ronn Stewart to be a part of Foster Dance Studios shortly thereafter, Julie has come full circle and is thrilled to now be a part of Elements Contemporary Ballet once again!
