Megan is in her third season with Elements as a full company member. Prior to joining Elements, she had been an apprentice with the company for two years. Megan began training under the guidance of artistic director Mike Gosney when she was 14 and has had the privilege of working with the company since that young age. She has performed in some of Elements' premier works including, Grey and Curiosity. Megan performed Joseph Caruana’s Angel, one of twelve finalists selected to dance at the McCallum Theater’s Dance Under the Stars Festival in November 2011. She has also been a guest artist with Ballet Legere's production of the Nutcracker. Megan began her dance training at Dance Center Evanston, with director Bea Rashid. As a teenager she was a member of its youth company, the Evanston Dance Ensemble, and performed with them for six seasons in such productions as The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; FAB!; and Alice in Wonderland. Also during her high school years she was a member of Loyola Acadamy Dance Company and performed with them for four seasons. Megan has received scholarships to attend the Cecchetti summer programs at Hope College and has been accepted into the Joffrey Ballet summer programs. Megan has trained in the Cecchetti Method through Grade VII. |
