Yu Suzuki, a native of Japan, received her B.F.A. in theatre arts with an emphasis in dance performance from Northern Illinois University under Randy Newsom. Her early training began at Faubourg School of Ballet under Watmora Casey and Avnun Yakubov, and she continued at several studios in Japan.
She has been a dancer for Radio City Rockettes for three seasons, as an original cast of the first national arena tour, and also has danced with Madison Ballet in their production of Cinderella and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her performances include soloist roles in Epilogue by Paul Christiano, With Blinders On by Karen Reedy, Tiempos Goyescos by Luis Montero, and title roles in Paquita, Giselle, La Corsaire, and Raymonda. |
